Born in Camps Bay, South Africa, Rupert Marks has lived and worked in seven different countries so far. He is a graduate of London University and has worked with young people for many years. His first foreign appointment was as a Junior Counselor in Switzerland during the summer break at university. Since then he has worked at the American School of The Hague, The Mall School in London and has most recently, amongst other professional development achievements, directed the summer program at Winchester College, England’s oldest public school.
He is the IB Coordinator, teaching English Language B and was instrumental in Open Gate’s IB DP authorisation.
He is happily married and has a daughter. His hobbies are reading, listening to music, cycling, warm beer and dreaming of English cricket victories.
