Grants
To make it possible for talented children from foster care or incomplete families, and even from complete families but with low income to study at OPEN GATE, THE KELLNER FAMILY FOUNDATION provides financial contributions to them to support their studies. Since the grammar school was opened, approximately 80% of its students have received full or partial scholarships from the foundation.
Students accepted for eight-year studies at the grammar school can apply to the foundation's Board of Trustees for a grant. The foundation provides grants to students joining the first grade and also those who transfer to OPEN GATE from another grammar school in a higher grade.
A grant provided by the foundation in the full amount (100%) equals a monthly school fee of CZK 47,000, and covers all expenses related to studies, including textbooks and teaching aids, lodging, meals, school uniforms, activities for leisure time, health and psychological care, laundry, access to the library and the Internet, the school's indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, and outdoor sport grounds, a skiing course, and trips inside and outside the Czech Republic.
More details about the foundation's grants and the application forms for grants are available on the website of THE KELLNER FAMILY FOUNDATION/OPEN GATE project.
