The OG Chronicle is a student journal featuring school news, student creative writing, sample essays, poetry, photography, artwork and favorite recipes.  Because English is the principal language in which students learn at OpenGate, the journal provides a forum for students to practice and publish a variety of writing styles and creative forms of expression in the English language.

Attached is the final issue of the OG Chronicle for 2010. This issue features Hana Hurychova’s creative writing essay, which won 2nd place in the whole Czech Republic among 17 year olds. Congratulations, Hana! It also features essays related to Orwell’s 1984, faculty interviews from English B students, a book review and a film review, and short reflections on the year in review from the lower gymnasium, among other things.
