Math

How can it be that mathematics, being after all a product of human thought independent of experience, is so admirably adapted to the objects of reality?

Mathematics is taught in two cycles at OG :

  • from Prima to Kvarta it is taught in Czech according to Czech curriculum
  • from Kvinta to Oktava it is taught in English according to the Czech curriculum, with some particular topics taken from the A-Level syllabus. This includes one term of teaching in Czech to cover the Czech curriculum specifically (mainly geometry)

The students are taught mathematics in classrooms equipped with interactive white boards, where they absorb mathematics through the different methods including variety of software applications.

We also offer extra lessons and clubs for students with a deeper interest in math. Septima and Oktava students can take a course which prepares them to pass A-level in mathematics.
