5/2/2012 - Duathlon race in Čelákovice
On April 25th, four of our students took part in the local district duathlon race held in Čelákovice.
Inspiration taken from a mobile phone film festival "Pocket films" led French students to a creation of their own pieces.

4/19/2012 - Open Gate students at the Archdiocese home in Mukarov
On Monday 15th April some Open Gate students have successfully started a series of book reading for elderly at the Archdiocese home in Mukarov.
As we have already mentioned on our website, in the middle of March ten Septima students have gone to India for a two week cultural and educational exchange accompanied by two teachers, Mrs Jana Errington and Mr Rupert Marks.
3/22/2012 - Proceeds from the Graduation Ball on behalf of Child Protection
Thanks to the magnificent contributions of all of you who attended the Graduation Ball on 2nd February 2012, 15,056 CZK was raised from the raffle, sales of newspapers and photographs and donated on behalf of Our Child Foundation.

3/16/2012 - Toledanos en Open Gate / Los Toledanos at Open Gate
During the week of 3-10 March we had the honor of hosting 12 students and Spanish teacher, Pilar Olano, visiting from the Carlos III Institute in Toledo, Spain.

3/5/2012 - The Mayor of Ricany Visits Open Gate
On Monday after the spring break Mr Vladimír Kořen, the mayor of nearby town Říčany, visited Open Gate. Mr. Kořen visited Open Gate in order to present the students with information about volunteering, freedom, and being a mayor of a town.

25 Russian students visited our school as a part of the Blue Bird project.
2/9/2012 - Mladý Demosthenes, a rhetorical contest for young people
The contest Mladý Demosthenes took place at Open Gate for the first time
2/8/2012 - Pythagoriáda - maths competition
The students of prima in the middle of January attended their first math competition in the colors Open Gate. This competition was Pythagoriády district round, held on Wednesday, 18 January in the school building of Gymnázium Říčany. By successfully completed a school round, 7 of the prima students qualified for this round. The students were Thea Kratochvílová, Johan Rott, Michal Svoboda, Martin Zilka, Vaclav Soukup, Michal Medek and Jiří Kovář.
