Second OG Olympiad

Open Gate students didn't even slack off the last day of school and decided to celebrate the beginning of the summer by hosting a sports competition. The organisation was in the hands of Marcela Gnadová and students from Kvinta and Sexta. They didn't only create a perfect atmosphere but also a whole day without any complications. Not just Open Gate took part in this Olympiad, but also two other schools: základní škola v Říčanech and základní škola v Říčanech Bezručova. The events were:

Shot Put
200 meters run
Cross-country running
Running Relay
Cycling
Swimming
Long Jump
Rhetoric

Although competition was close during all events, OG's total score in the end placed us in second. The absolute winner was základní škola v Říčanech. Because all competitors were awarded sweet presents, základní škola v Říčanech Bezručova, who were third, did not leave disappointed. To emphasize that sports is not the only competitive skill, we added a new category this year, Rhetoric. The first place was again occupied by 1. základní škola v Říčanech.
