Having spent 11 years with Open Gate, its principal, Peter Nitsche, has decided to end his professional career and retire. Effective from 1 July 2017, Kateřina Kožnarová, currently head of the sciences section at the grammar school and a biology and social sciences teacher, will become the new principal of the school.
Under Peter Nitsche’s leadership, Open Gate has evolved into a highly respected private school. A large number of children, exceeding the school’s capacity, apply for enrolment at the Open Gate grammar school and elementary school every year. The school also pursues its primary mission: it provides educational opportunities to academically gifted and hard-working students from all social backgrounds.
