Ondřej Bílý is a graduate of the Faculty of Education of Charles University in Prague. He obtained a Master’s degree in teaching at upper secondary school level, specialising in biology and chemistry. Ondřej is a great traveller, and incorporates his passion into practice with his students, for whom he organises various trips and excursions, or educational expeditions focusing on the history and natural beauty of the Czech Republic and abroad. His life motto is: “You wouldn’t want to live for ever (in ignorance)”. Ondřej is the creator of the educational programme Biology in Practice.

Experience

Ondřej began his career as a teacher of biology, chemistry and physics at the Karel Čapek Grammar School in Dobříš. He came to Open Gate in 2021 from the Nový PORG Grammar School, where he worked for ten years as a teacher of biology and chemistry, and as a deputy manager for organisational matters. In the Open Gate management team he holds the place of second deputy headteacher for the grammar school along side Luděk Michalik. He is above all responsible for managing the educational process and professional teacher training.

Hobbies

In addition to travelling, Ondřej also enjoys sport. He plays football, five-a-side football and ice hockey. He covers many kilometres a day on his bike or Alpine hiking.
