IBDP Dance Teacher

Open Gate is looking for a well-qualified Dance/Performing Arts Teacher responsible to teach and lead the IBDP Dance course.

What do we require

  • Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor’s Degree with a PGCE/PGDE (QTS)
  • A graduate in Dance or Performing Arts related degree
  • An enthusiastic and innovative teacher with a genuine passion for teaching, who can motivate and inspire students using a variety of strategies
  • To work and collaborate with colleagues to enrich curriculum and student learning

What would you be responsible for

  • Prepare and deliver classes to IBDP students in accordance with the IBDP Dance course.
  • Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
  • Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers.
  • Compile, administer, and grade examinations.
  • Keep abreast of developments in their field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
  • Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
  • Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
  • Select and obtain materials and supplies such as textbooks through the school library.
  • Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, course materials and methods of instruction.
  • Participate in campus and community events.
