Practising grammar with first graders

Grammar is one of the most important components of a language. In this lesson, we were practising I have got, and I haven’t got. As it can be seen from the pictures below, we practised the structure using the children’s lunchboxes and their water bottle. The learners were supposed to talk about what they have got in the lunchboxes and water bottles, and what they haven’t got in the lunchboxes and water bottles. The use of lunchboxes and water bottles (tangible objects) helped the learners to understand the structure (I have got/ I haven’t got) and to practise it as well.
