Let’s take a look...

Class 1

Class 1 has been learning a new song this week and last. The song is called Fish Alive. We decided to make some fish, fishing rods and ponds to help us in learning and singing the song. The kids really had a great time. I hope they will sing the song to you at home! (ED)

Class 2

In PE this week, we did more skills practice for baseball, learning how to throw and catch. We also worked on balance and finished the class with some batting practice. I think we have a few Major League Baseball players in the making! (LR)

In relation to the Food Festival, Class 2 have been learning about healthy diet and nutrition. We discussed the different food groups - grains, protein, dairy, fruits and vegetables - and we learned about what a healthy plate should look like. We also followed up on the assembly this week and agreed that we will try not to waste any food. Let's hope everyone will stick to that! (JK)

Class 3

Class 3 completed their Grand Canyon paintings this week. They learned about it and other Wonders these past 2 weeks when we were doing our Wonders of Water segment in our World Around Us class. They were all amazed that the Colorado River was able to carve out this beautiful canyon over a mere million or 2 years. They were definitely inspired when they made their paintings.

Class 4

In class 4 this week, we did our phonics as usual. They are all experts on the M sound now. We also played some more improv comedy games which shows what a creative and talented group of comedians, actors and actresses we have in class 4! (LR)

Class 5

In class 5 this week, we started working with our robots. We are in the process of building them at the moment and in the next week or two, they will be ready for us to programme and start making them do a lot of fun stuff! (LR)
