Michal studied various fields during his studies. While at grammar school, he participated in the Open Science project, where he had the opportunity to touch on scientific work in the laboratory of microwave spectroscopy (VŠCHT) for three years. Parallel to his studies at Matfyz, he also studied physical education (FTVS UK) and philosophy (FF UK) for some time. He immensely values the opportunity to have been able to take a closer look at the other sciences, and tries to pass on this experience to his students and anyone willing to listen. At former schools where he worked, he tried to get involved in the community life of the school, and participated in projects such as DofE and Šablony [Templates].

Education

2009-2015 | Secondary School Teacher Training in Physics and Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University. He is currently studying there in the doctoral field of Didactics of Physics and General Questions of Physics.

Experience

Michal started teaching during his studies in 2012 at a primary school, where he worked as a teacher of Mathematics and Physics for four years. He then held the same position for another four years at the grammar school. He came to Open Gate in 2020.

Hobbies

Michal likes to be active, but since he doesn't particularly excel in any given sport, he chose one where it didn’t really matter. He opted for racketlon (a combination sport consisting of ping pong, badminton, squash and tennis). Of the extreme sports, he cites the upbringing of his two-year-old daughter Adélka.
