The Ladies' Tailor Theatre Performance

As part of their CAS project, our students have spent this school year preparing a production of The Ladies’ Dressmaker, the classic comedy by French playwright Georges Feydeau. The premiere, featuring outstanding performances by Open Gate students alongside several teachers, was met with an enthusiastic response from audiences. Join us for an evening of laughter and take advantage of this final opportunity to see the production in our school theatre. The lead role is played by Year 13 student Ondřej Galyáš, who also directed the performance.

LUCIE

Lucie is one of the defining bands of the Czech music scene, and its influence and body of work have significantly shaped the development of Czech rock music. The group was founded in 1985 by Robert Kodym (vocals, guitar) and P.B.CH. (bass). The current live line-up features Robert Kodym, P.B.CH., Michal Dvořák, Viktor Dyk and Štěpán Smetáček.

The band achieved a major breakthrough in the early 1990s with the albums In the Sky and Černý kočky, mokrý žáby. These releases produced iconic hits that resonated with several generations of fans and remain staples of the band’s  live set to this day.

Over the course of its career, Lucie has received numerous prestigious awards, including ten Anděl Awards, and has sold hundreds of thousands of records. Despite line-up changes and periods of inactivity, the band has retained its distinctive style and live energy.
