Martin comes from Prague and gained experience in working with children mainly at the Diagnostic Institute for Youth, where he worked as an educator, head educator, special educator (etoped) and prevention methodologist.

Further education and courses: specialisation study for school prevention methodologists; educational approaches to pupils and adolescents with risky behaviour; training in motivational interviewing; specifics of working with self-harm clients; risks of virtual communication; specifics of working with borderline clients; methods of cognitive behavioural therapy in practice; qualification course for trainers of therapeutic programmes for drivers; first aid for social services workers.

Experience

Marek also has experience in the field of therapy, having worked as a therapist in an outpatient gambling clinic dealing with non-substance addictions and as a therapist in programmes for drivers who are perpetrators or victims of traffic offences. Last but not least, he is also involved as a lecturer in the field of in-service training for educational staff, where he deals with the topics of risky behaviour in children and adolescents. He is a member of the Association of Special Educators of the Czech Republic and a candidate member of the Czech Association of Psychotherapy.

Hobbies

His hobbies include literature (historical and dystopic novels), travelling (wiping the map of Europe), music (from metal to philharmonia), movies (a fan of small cinemas), theatre (a rather conservative spectator), gastronomy (alternative ways of preparing coffee) and sports (not very skilled, but hardworking).
