1978-1980 | extension studies at the Secondary School of Surveying in Prague

1987 | passed the doctoral examination at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at Charles University and was awarded the title PaedDr


After graduating from university, Tomáš worked for one year at a primary school in Prague as a PE teacher, then he completed basic military service at Dukla Liberec as an assistant coach in cross-country skiing. Subsequently, he took up the post of an assistant professor at the department of outdoor sports at FTVS UK in Prague in the skiing department, where he taught not only future teachers of physical education but also future cross-country coaches and skiing and snowboarding instructors. As part of the lifelong studies for public, he organized the training of coaches, skiing and snowboarding instructors.

At the same time, he led the ski club at FTVS and was a member of the executive committee of the Interski Czech Republic ski organisation. In the years 2011-2015. he was the editor-in-chief of the sports magazine Nordic Mag. He holds the qualifications of Certified Skiing Instructor, Snowboarding Instructor and Cross-Country Instructor. His lifelong focus is on education and upbringing in nature through outdoor sports.


Among his hobbies are activities related to sports and travelling. He used to compete in athletics, triathlons and cross-country skiing. He enjoys skiing, snowboard, cycling, in-line skates, hiking and trekking. He likes active vacations connected to travelling and exploring.
