In addition to her academic education, Petra has completed a number of courses and workshops: Psychology Workshops for IBDP Teachers (InThinking, and Philpot Education), a critical thinking course (RWCT), the Descartes and Akademie moderního vzdělávání (Academy of Modern Education) courses for Czech teachers and courses organised by the Vzdělávací institut Středočeského kraje (The Central Bohemian Region’s Educational Institute). She has been teaching at the Open Gate grammar school since 2008.

Experience

Petra has been attending a broad range of educational courses during her enrolment and continues to do so. She joined Open Gate right after graduation and she has also spent two years as a proof-reader of digital teaching materials for Metodický portál RVP (a guidance website for Framework Educational Programmes).

Hobbies

Petra’s favourite hobby is travelling and getting to know different countries and cultures, in particular those in the Asia Pacific. She is also interested in dog breeding and exhibitions. She likes to read both fiction and non-fiction, listen to contemporary music, visit theatres, concerts and summer music festivals. Petra enjoys sports especially fit box, swimming, volleyball, and skiing. And, if she has some time, she occasionally juggles.
