Children’s campaign for ‘British Schindler’ Sir Nicholas Winton
A campaign started by schoolchildren from Open Gate School in the Czech Republic for Sir Nicholas Winton to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize has attracted over 212,000 signatures from across the globe in six months.
Students’ IB results place OPEN GATE among the best high schools
The global average of the results achieved for the IB diploma was 29.83 points this year. OPEN GATE students can boast of an unbelievable 36 points on average, making their school one of the best in the world under the IB program.

This year’s summer also saw building work on the campus of the OPEN GATE eight-year high school in Babice, Central Bohemia - Multiuse hall, New classrooms.
Merger of family foundations of Mrs. Renáta Kellnerová and Mr. Petr Kellner completed
The end of May saw the merger of the Educa Foundation and The Kellner Family Foundation. Members of the Board of Trustees of the two foundations agreed to bring all the activities under The Kellner Family Foundation, which will continue to focus primarily on educational projects.
Final of debating legue in the House of Commons
Four teams (with a high number of points) qualified for the final, happening in the House of Commons (two in Czech and two in English) - two of the teams were made only of Open Gate students.
Open Gate boarding school opens its sixth academic year
179 students have studied at the OPEN GATE eight-year high school in Babice since its opening in 2005. Two graduate classes, 45 students in total, have completed their studies successfully.
